Our Commitment to Compliance and Ethics
The federal Anti-Kickback Statute (42 U.S.C. § 1320a-7b(b)) prohibits the knowing and willful offer, payment, solicitation, or receipt of any remuneration to induce or reward referrals of items or services that are payable by a federal healthcare program, such as Medicare or Medicaid.
The Stark Law (42 U.S.C. § 1395nn) prohibits a physician from referring a Medicare patient for certain designated health services to an entity with which the physician or an immediate family member has a financial relationship, unless a specific exception applies.
Although the Stark Law primarily applies to a physician’s direct referrals, our company maintains a strict policy to avoid any business arrangements that could create a prohibited financial relationship.
